Meet The Team

Darren Baldwin – Owner / Trimmer / Fabricator

Daz completed his apprenticeship with Bruce Hall, one of the most respected trimmers in the industry. Whilst training with Bruce he completed trade certification in Automotive Bodywork, Trimming and Coach Building at Ultimo TAFE. After completing his apprenticeship Daz worked with and has a continuing relationship with Bruce Gibbs Prestige Trimming and Cooks Upholstery before working with Brad from Brad’s Custom Trim for 4 years. In 2009 Daz opened Stitched Up Custom Trim in Tuggerah with the business moving to Morisset in 2023.

Guido Joosten – Trimmer / Fabricator

Guido joined the Stitched Up team in June 2012. He brings with him over 30 years trimming and fabricating experience. Having begun his work life in a carpentry apprenticeship, he then completed a trimming apprenticeship on Sydney Northern Beaches working on a host of prestige and concourse level European cars. Guido then worked for PWR (Paul Weel Racing) in QLD in their fabricating and assembly division before taking up a position fabricating custom medical equipment. In the past 4 years he’s developed a talent for 3D modelling in Fusion 360 and models 98% of the parts that we now print in-house.

Matty Eller – 3rd Year Apprentice

Matty joined the team 3 years ago and brings with him a wealth of knowledge, specifically around Holden’s having spent most of his life working on Commodore’s.

James “Jimmy” Wrench – 2nd Year Apprentice

Jimmy joined us 2 years ago and has become an integral part of the team. Starting with the typical 1st year duties of sweeping the floors and making coffees he quickly showed a skillset beyond his 2nd year status. Jimmy is also responsible for a lot of the media posts you see on our socials. He’s immersed himself in the Stitched Up brand and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for him.
